Mixed media (pool noodle) & acrylic paint on 18″ by 24″ canvas.

I really had some fun with Splash 2, and repurposed an old grubby pool noodle that was on its way out. As you can see in the slideshow below, I sliced up a pink noodle and glued the shavings to the canvas. The texture of the artwork can be easily seen by side viewing, and the intensity of the strokes from the palette knife are wildly energetic. This project only took about 12 hours to complete, but there is paint in so many small cracks and crevasses on the canvas, it may not dry for a couple years. 🙂
